Wimborne Underpass & Beaucroft College

The Hanham Road underpass BH21 1AU

Over two months, I had the pleasure of working with 12 talented post-16 students with special educational needs from Beaucroft College, guiding them through the creative process as they worked toward their Arts Award Accreditation. Each student created their own artwork within a series of colourful hexagons on the wall, while I brought the surrounding mural to life. Together, we transformed Wimborne’s 52-foot Hanham Road underpass into a vibrant celebration of nature—filled with blooming flowers, buzzing bees, bright birds, and curious creatures. Funded by Wimborne BID, the mural now links the Allendale car parks and river path to the town centre with a joyful burst of colour. It’s a space for the whole community to enjoy, and a project I’m incredibly proud to have brought to life with such a brilliant team.
